CAMP POSITIONS - Canada

SENIOR CAMP MANAGER - Matrix is searching for a self-motivated and multi-skilled individual who will act as Senior On-Site Camp Manager in remotely located exploration camps throughout Canada.  Duties include prime responsibility for daily camp operations, reporting to the client's On-Site Project Manager, and to the Matrix Operations Manager.

Knowledge//Requirements - Preference is given to candidates who possess a solid knowldege base in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general mechanics.  Computer skills including a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet is required.  Management and supervisory skills are essential, as well as an understanding of the logistical demands of operating in the country's most remote areas.

To be a top contender for this position the candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Camp Management with a proven track record of success.

This position requires a well-organized, goal-oriented individual with an assertive, focused, and professional approach.  The candidate should possess solid written and verbal communication skills along with superior interpersonal abilities.  This person will deal with a diverse gorup of employees, and clients.

CAMP MAINTENANCE/CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN - Matrix Aviation is currently looking to fill positions for camp construction and maintenance.  These openings include both fulll-time and part-time opportunities.  Potential areas of placement include Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Alberta, Labrador and Northern Quebec. 

We are looking for candidates with experience in electrical, plumbing, mechanics and carpentry.  Successful candidates will be responsible for in-camp duties that include:

• Loading and unloading of aircraft
• Troubleshooting for electrical, plumbing and mechanical issues
• Monitoring camp inventories to ensure sufficient supplies
• Coordinating various activities, such as the movement of personnel and equipment with project geologists, drill foremen, and Matrix office staff
• Labour activities and other duties as assigned 

Candidates must be interested in working in all weather conditions.  Applicants should be physically fit as these positions entail heavy lifting. Employment will be on an in/out rotation.  Transportation, room and board is supplied. A progressive financial compensation package will be offered.

EXPLORATION LABOURERS - Matrix Aviation is looking for exploration labourers for camp situations. Successful candidates will be required to handle labour activities, garbage disposal, snow clearing, operating core splittings saws, handling core boxes and other duties as assigned.
